Toyota Entune App Reviews

100 add

Horrible

This is ridiculous. Always problems locating and climate control. If I would have know it was this bad I would not have bought a Toyota .

Not bad but not good either.

Very basic functions, but for the most part does enough to function. One major setting that needs to be added is a "always allow" feature everytime the car starts and the phone connects to the car. If the phone happens to be in your pocket it wont connect. You must hit "allow" in order for it to connect properly otherwise you have to restart the app!

Issues

Having issues launching Pandora from head unit...I see the update in the Google play store has addressed this..with the iOS issue be addressed?

Not functioning

Cant even get the app to recognize the new Vehicles Vin number. Must have entered it five times and tried the picture process. Stupid, deleted, and done. I wish I could give no stars.

Needs google maps

This app suite would be complete if it included some of the online map apps such as google, apple, and waze. The Toyota fleet would be a lot better with a navigation system that uses these technologies as they have put lots a resources into their programs to make their apps the best navigation on the market. Another feature that needs to be added is to mimic the phone screen.

Toyota I want CarPlay (as you indicated in 2014) now!

The app is completely worthless and should be scrapped by Toyota. Interesting how Toyota sells that they will shift to CarPlay but the company has yet to allow their customers the option of switching from Entune to CarPlay. I mean this sincerely... Dont waste your time using the app. Its UI and features are so worthless that you will run the risk of having an accident trying to get the app to function. I hope someone from Toyota or Apple actually reads this and brings it up in a decision makers meeting.

Junk software, just like Toyota cars

Weve all heard how bad Toyotas have gotten, most recently the pairing of the four cylinder with the six speed auto transmission. History has the acceleration problems, sludge problems and more. Now this Entune app wont connect internet via Bluetooth to my iPhone 7. Must leave a cord hanging out to connect. Then again, the seatbelt frequently doesnt know its been latched so I have to drive with the warning beeping. Ant then there are the times the main computer gets confused and I have to shut the whole car down for a couple minutes to let it all reset. Moral is: AVOID ENTUNE by avoiding the primitive, horrible electronics that my 2013 Camry SE has. Do this by avoiding Toyota, with the GPS that Gets People Stumped as to where to go. One update in four years? Really? Toyota=junk.

Completely useless.

Annoying and useless. I usually dont write reviews but this is completely crap. Unless you ONLY need iheart and pandora in your life you are fine. I was hoping toyota will put out more apps but its been two years and still same BS app. Since toyota wont let you connect your phone while driving even with a passenger seated makes this even less useful. You have to stop and link your phone first before any of those music app or network required to work. And again this is completely crap. I have 6 toyota and my 14 RAV4 is the newest but this car been very disappointing and the entertainment system was one big flop for me and the navigation system omg. Add a google map app and I will take back what I say about the crappy map

Not award winning but not horrible

I just bought a 2016 highlander yesterday and connected the Entune app in order to get Pandora working in the dash. The UI is very dated, but I am fairly tech savvy and was able to get through the process without issue. Pandora works just fine. Kinda weird that you need an "app" at all to make the process work. My Mazda CX-5 had the pandora app built in to the stereo and just connected to the phone on its own. Would be nice to see Spotify and Apple maps but hopefully Toyota will add new apps soon.

Horrendous

Toyota should be ashamed of this app. A great vehicle is hindered by an app which only works half the time.

Love my 2017 Tacoma, hate this app

After battling entune for a month, I uninstalled it. This app is total junk. Pandora has constant problems, good luck switching between plugged in to the USB and Bluetooth, etc. my new Tacoma is wonderful, this app is terrible. Toyota, you can do better. A good friend of mine has a 2016 chevy Tahoe, the device integration (including apple CarPlay) is a thousand times better. The very basic system on my 2012 Tacoma is better than this entune garbage.

2013 RAV4 ev-- NOT FREE AS ADVERTISED

The app description clearly states that the app will provide charging stations, charging status of vehicle, car finding feature, ability to adjust the cabin comfortability, etc. at no charge for owners of 2012 OR newer RAV4 EV. When I called entune, they said I needed a safety connect subscription in order to have those features. After a TON of back and forth, they told me that it doesnt matter what the description says about the app, it needs safety connect subscription ($140/year) in order to even get the charging status of the car. Ridiculous considering that since the car has Bluetooth and is connected to my phone, it should be able to send the information that way. I guess I will just have to write a complaint to the better business bureau for false advertising. I advise the rest of you all to do the same! It seems Im not the only one whos giving a bad review.

Deleted instantly

I delete any app instantly if you force me to sign in or create an account to use your app. Im not giving you any personal information if you cant let me use the app as a guest for a short period of time.

Latest update is broken

App no longer functions. Head unit screen says loading. Never displays data.

Navigation is horible

Nothing else to say. Use your phone...navigation is worthless.

Wont connect to internet

And the car says to open the entune app. Its open. Totally useless.

Horrible

Absolutely horrible. One update in 4 years

Terrible app

Sorry. I normally dont write reviews, but this app is frustrating. It cannot connect properly and when it finally does it crashes. Please fix or dont offer this option for your vehicles

Ancient technology at a premium price

Does it work? Yes, but will you use it? No. I have a 2017 Toyota, my first, and the entune system alone is enough that I do not recommend Toyota to anyone. This is an example of complacency as others are innovating. For software or map updates you must go to a dealer?

Awful

Toyota please end this horrible experience and give us CarPlay. There is no redeeming quality to your Entune interface.
