Toyota Entune App Reviews

Was working seamlessly 90% of the time, and now only music works reliably. I can use phone to make calls soon after start but car will fail Bluetooth phone connection and say no phone connected, but I can go to Bluetooth music and play songs. Phone fail will continue no matter what till car is turned of and started. Frustrating to be mid call and have car blow the Bluetooth connection, and while you are trying to put call to speaker before they hang up the music returns from XM radio, so you pause the music and after a bit on speaker phone the car picks up the Bluetooth again and then fails again... End up disable Bluetooth on phone to get car to leave alone. Maddening and dangerous sequences while driving. Enough to make me want to sell my new car!!!

A nice concept but with the iPhone it never stays connected if you leave the vehicle. Have to constantly re-sign into the app- lousy programming.

Almost 3 out of 5 times the Bluetooth mysteriously stops working while my iPhone6 is use. The phone ringing continues even after I have answered the phone and the ringing has a volume control of its own. Sometimes it rings too loud ( the whole car vibrates) and sometimes it is so low I cant hear it. The only thing good about the system is the radio seems to work perfectly. The Toyota dealership says there is no fix as of yet. (Part 2) Dealership wiped my software on my 4Runner and reloaded it. Wow, most of my initial problems have disappeared. Supposedly bad Entune software dumped into a lot of vehicles when mine was built.

Id give it a zero if I could. This stupid app caused so much frustration. My 2016 tacos entertainment system started to crash every 5 min due to this app. I deleted it and now it works fine. DONT DOWNLOAD!

Just set this up to use Pandora and it wont play music. Please update the app so that it works.

This is a horrible app!!! Every time I get into the car I have to fiddle with the app. Come on Toyota IT get your act together and fix this. Its extremely annoying and I would have never bought the car knowing the audio is this BAD!

Not only is this app bad, its embarrassing. This thing has so much potential...

This app is lousy, it works like a old Garmin Sat nav, the failure to allow the functionality of the iPhone to be featured rather than suppressed is a bizarre move by Toyota, it has already driven me away, my next car WILL NOT be a Toyota

So this application kind of works. It does have the annoying habit of needing to be deleted and then reinstalled applications time out when logging on, especially Pandora. Messaging doesnt work at all. It will not allow m to access or send messages through the truck. It says my phone isnt compatible. I have a 2016 Tacoma and an iPhone 6. Something should be done because this application makes buying the entune system barely worth it.

This app and Entune is useless. Pandora app looks like its playing but no sound plays. Just stream Bluetooth audio from your phone. Much easier. The whole Entune app suite is totally disappointing.

This app needs to be able to sync to the vehicle without signing every single time. Also needed more features on more apps to add.

I paid almost 40k for a car equipped with subpar software, what a fail, nice way to treat customers. Ill be trying other makes next time.

Beings as Toyota has come out and said they will not be integrating CarPlay youd think theyd have a solid alternative. That is not the case. The entune system has potential but this app needs a lot of improvements. 1) I am constantly signed out of the app and have to sign in 2) Update for larger iPhone 6 resolutions. Had plenty of time for this. 3) Sometimes my iheart radio app works but 80% of the time it does not. 4) Same story with the Pandora app as iheart radio Overall advice for other users is to Bluetooth stream everything and use the phone to control your apps and functions.

Its obviously been a known issue for quite some time. FIX THIS ISSUE TOYOTA!!!!

You have to log by entering your ID and PW each time you use it. No biometric fingerprint ability. The process takes so long I never use it. The iPhone cable cuts out periodically. The Bluetooth takes a very long time to connect, and often requires you to trouble shoot the connection. I love Toyota vehicles. I hate this.

Setup two days ago with my 2016 tacoma and everything works great. Pandora, iheart, open table all worked fine. Made voice command calls and used gps the whole time. Took a day trip today and had zero disconnections. Pretty stoked on having all the control in my car and leaving my phone sitting on the qcharger thing.

What can I say that hasnt already been said by others. Quite possibly the worst app I have ever used. Took 14 tries to successfully register an account. Low resolution graphics. Buggy. Slow. Cant connect to the service half the time, etc. But in the rare chance it works, it works decent.

Was never wanting to change out the head unit, but Entune is so Enbad it renders so much of the dash useless. Issues: - no real apps to install or use - no way to remove bs that waste space - locked into a poorly designed software base that looks like an abandoned legacy app ghost land... - more like an experiment that should have never been made public. Want more stars, open the app to CarPlay and Andriod Auto. So bad.

I really wish I could give zero stars. I dont even know where to start. I was totally shocked at how buggy this app was. Even if it did work, it is amateur hour over at the Toyota app design department. There is absolutely no excuse for this garbage. It doesnt work at all. Toyota should fix this ASAP.

The Entune app is out of date I had to go to dealer to get update for Entune firmware / software. Toyota should just support Apple CarPlay it would be easier, cheaper, and more user friendly.
