Poor design, poor execution, poor performance.
Just used this app recently for the first time in a long while....and its just as bad as it ever was, if not worse.
* On the 12 hour round trip drive from Cleveland to Chicago, it lost connection between the app and vehicle at least 50 times. Sometimes, I would have to kill the app and restart, sometimes, I would have to disconnect and reconnect the vehicle. Sometimes, nothing worked for hours.
* Sometimes, it still is playing Pandora or IHR, but it gets out of sync so the album info doesnt match, and the controls wont work. This can be very frustrating when youre listening to explicit content (like Eminem) and the kids take their headphones off....it would be nice if the pause button was reliable.
* On all of the apps, you can only flip through one or 2 pages of the menu, before it says its locked out because the vehicle is in motion. I have a passenger sitting right next to me that is trying to adjust it....how is that a safety issue?!?!
So that requires 2-3x as much looking at the screen, instead of the road...VERY dangerous!!
For example, I cant scroll down far enough to get to the station I want on Pandora when sorted by date, so I have to find a station with a name starting with a similar letter, select it, then sort by name, and select the one I really wanted.
Im sure people other the. Me paid a premium for this Entune system....we should file a class action suit.....maybe we can get some $ back from Toyota .
